Ligados a los ‘Gatherings’, las reuniones de clanes en los que se elegían a sus mejores y más fuertes guerreros, los Highland Games conservan y celebran la esencia de lo que es ser escocés.
Every year, in the Scottish Highlands, the members of each clan continue the age-old tradition of competing against each other in unusual combat. They throw tree-trunks, pull ropes and lift huge bales of hay. Then it is time for bagpipe music, and the warriors dance. the battle, therefore, is not bloody. These are Highland Games.
